My name is René Langer, professionally known as Jack Langer.

For more than three decades, my life has been closely connected to live entertainment, music and the unique atmosphere that exists around a stage.

​

I am an Austrian entrepreneur, founder and co-owner of Redline Enterprise, one of Austria’s leading full-service event engineering companies. Throughout my career, I have worked behind the scenes of countless concerts, tours and major productions — from clubs and theatres to arenas, stadiums and international events.

​

Photography has always been another way for me to capture this world.

​

I am especially fascinated by the moments that exist beyond the obvious: the seconds before an artist walks on stage, the concentration behind the scenes, the energy of a live performance, or simply a moment that tells a story without needing words.

​

Many of the images on this website were created during productions and encounters that I was fortunate enough to experience throughout my career.

​

For me, photography is not about documenting what happened.

It is about capturing what it felt like.
